This review is from: Cook N Home Canning Tool Set, 5-Piece (Kitchen) Right out of the box: The magnetic lifter’s magnet was inset so far into its frame that the magnet was useless (ergo, the tool). The jar lifter was broken, and missing a handle, ergo useless. The regular tongs worked, but then, I didn’t really need them. All in all, this set was pretty useless and extremely poorly made. Would have given 5 stars but the magnet on my lid lifter fell out, as many other reviewers noted as well- but I just wedged it back in and thus far it hasn’t fallen out again. Overall, not the highest quality but for the price it is well worth purchasing. I would get this set again despite the minor inconvenience of a wobbly magnet.
